Jenny Gunn
Co-President
2022-23 is Jenny’s second year on the PTCA Board and first year serving as Co-President. In 2021-22, Jenny served as PTCA secretary. She has two children who attend ANCS. Her son is in 7th grade and her daughter is in 3rd. She previously volunteered as a room parent and as room parent chair. She has volunteer experience at Grant Park Cooperative Preschool, which her daughter attended and where she served on the auction committee. Jenny’s profession is in higher education. She holds a PhD in Communication: Moving Image Studies from Georgia State University and currently teaches in the Department of Film and Media at Emory University. She is passionate about our neighborhood and school community. She is also dedicated to diversity and equity efforts in education and beyond as is reflected in her professional and academic pursuits including her service with the liquid blackness research group, a multi-racial research group at Georgia State University dedicated to the study of the contemporary black arts.
Her hobbies include reading, exercising, cooking and since she is a film professor, keeping up with movies and must-see tv! She also has a master’s degree in art history from the University of Georgia and loves traveling and visiting art museums when she has the chance.
