From the MTSS/504 Coordinator MC
Hello ANCS Families! I’m excited to introduce myself as your Middle Campus 504 MTSS Coordinator. My name is Sammy Struttmann, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community.
A little about my background: I started my academic journey at Georgia State University, where I majored in film for two years. While I still have a passion for storytelling through film, I ultimately discovered that my true calling was in education. I’ve had the privilege of spending the last 12 years at ANCS, where I taught Language and Literature for a decade and even explored Design for a year. I also enjoyed teaching at Kindezi during its first year at the O4W location.
I came to education to be there for kids who may not have had the support I needed when I was in middle school. I strive to make every student feels comfortable and safe at school, and I love making connections with them while encouraging them to be the best versions of themselves.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about music and love going to local shows. I still make films and enjoy spending time with friends. Traveling is another passion of mine, and my latest adventure took me to Greece and Turkey with Dr. Woody-Wideman and I just got back from Ireland for Fall Break!
In my current role, I’m eager to support our students in their learning journeys, ensuring that every child has the tools and resources they need to thrive. I believe collaboration is key, and I look forward to working with all of you to create an inclusive and supportive environment for our students.
