Meet the PTCA Co-Presidents

Dear ANCS School Family,

We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the PTCA co-Presidents for the 2024-25 school year. Wakita Jacobs, I am an alumni parent of ANCS, and have the privilege of working at the front desk of the Elementary Campus, where I enjoy daily interactions with our wonderful students and parents. Sinéad Quinn, I have been part of the ANCS family for many years, I have a daughter, a sophomore in University who attended ANCS and a son who is currently in 8th grade.

Our dedication to the ANCS community stems from our deep appreciation for the positive experiences our own children have had here. We believe that active involvement from parents, teachers, and the community significantly enriches the educational environment and fosters a sense of belonging and support for every student.

We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the PTCA this year and are committed to working collaboratively with all of you to enhance the ANCS experience. Our focus will be on fostering strong communication, encouraging volunteerism, and organizing events that bring our community together.

To kick things off, we warmly invite you to attend the PTCA general meeting tonight (Tuesday, August 13th) at the EC from 6:30-7:30 PM. During this meeting, ANCS Executive Director Alastair Pullen will present the school’s new strategic plan, offering valuable insights into the vision and goals for the upcoming years. Additionally, we will discuss various ways for you to get involved with the PTCA, from volunteering at events to participating in committees that support our school’s initiatives.

Your involvement, whether big or small, makes a tremendous difference. Whether you have a few hours a month or a few hours a year to contribute, there is a place for you in the PTCA. By working together, we can create a nurturing and dynamic environment for our children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are looking forward to meeting many of you at the meeting and throughout the school year. Let’s make this year a fantastic one for our school family, filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to ANCS. Here’s to an amazing school year!

Warm regards,

Wakita Jacobs
