Music Man Jr. Cast List & Next Steps

Auditions are tough, and not everyone is cast. This doesn’t mean a student doesn’t have talent. This time just may not have been their time. Some students were cast for the first time, and some students who had been cast before were not cast.

We know how much courage it can take to audition. If someone was not cast, we hope the student auditions again. Sometimes students are cast in a role different than what they wanted. We know this is also hard. Casting isn’t just about ability. Casting is also about creating relationships that best communicate the characters to the audience.

For those who were cast, congratulations! If you have been in a show with us, you know this is just the beginning of the process. Over the 9 weeks it takes to put in a show, students work hard, discover new abilities, and learn to work through hard feelings to create something they are proud of.

NEXT STEPS
Names on the cast list must pick up their scripts from Mr. Dewey’s room by 1 pm on Friday, December 20. This gives the cast time to learn lines and music. I will email the link to the audio tracks to families by the end of the week. Names on the company list do not need a script. We will provide music during rehearsals.

If I misspelled a name, please let me know. We will use this list to pull names for the program.

We are excited for the cast to see what they accomplish this year. If you have any questions, please reach out, and I’ll do my best to answer them.
