Grandparents & Special Friends Day Reflection

Dear ANCS School Family,

Our family is reflecting more about Grandparents and Special Friends Day this year because we regretfully cannot be present for the first time in many years. We travel annually to Atlanta from our home in Cyprus (not the one in Florida, but rather the Mediterranean Sea) and this day is always the highlight of our trip. This year our timing was off by one week!

Every year, we look forward to seeing the energized students show off their school to us. The children love their school and the pride in their accomplishments shines brightly. We are grateful for the fantastic faculty and staff, the thoughtful refreshments, and the lovely chorus.

We also want to express our gratitude for the volunteers that both help make the day a success, and most importantly, step in as a special friend for those students that don’t have a someone that can be there for the day. And last but not least, the amazing teachers never fail to impress us with their ability to connect with and nurture our precious ones. Having all of this context makes our ongoing conversations about school with our grandkids all the more meaningful.

Thank you ANCS, not only for an amazing event, but also for providing an incredible environment for our children to thrive!

P.S. We get our Winter hoodies every year during Grandparents and Special Friends Day – please don’t sell out!
