What’s for lunch today?

Today our cafeteria is serving a special menu for Iranian New Year, Nowruz, to our students. They are enjoying delicious dishes including Osh-e Reshteh, Lubia Polow, and Ghormeh Sabzi. Nowruz is a significant celebration symbolizing renewal and growth, where Iranians engage in various traditions such as cleaning their homes, forgiving others, and hosting lively gatherings. The menu features traditional foods like greens, noodles, fish, and sweets. We extend our gratitude to Jack Dianat and his family for inspiration, Mohammed Negaresh of Hut Bakery for his expertise, and the authors of “Joon” and “New Food of Life” for their recipes. We’re excited to share this cultural experience with our students!
